Dan Barry
Dad, Manager, Business Badger
UW-Madison Online student, class of 2025
Seamlessly transferring from community college and proud to be a “business Badger,” Dan is earning his degree for career advancement.
- How was the transfer experience from community college to UW–Madison?
The transfer experience from Madison College to UW–Madison was excellent. It was very easy and straightforward with consistent communication from my enrollment coaches at UW–Madison Online. Coaches were quick to respond or set up virtual meetings to answer any questions I had.
- Why did you choose a business degree at UW–Madison?
The Wisconsin School of Business is well-known in the business world. Badgers are highly respected, especially in the business world. If you look at some of the statistics, the number of CEOs that have come out of Madison, they tell you that if that’s what you want, this is the school for you. UW–Madison has always attracted me, and being from here, it’s kind of awesome to officially say I’m a Badger.
- How will your education help you reach your career goals?
My education will help me reach my academic and professional goals. I look forward to graduating from the undergraduate management program and then exploring master’s programs. I am currently in a senior-level management role at a publicly traded real estate investment trust, and I hope that my academics will provide future opportunities to advance into a higher-level management or director role.
