I have an associate degree, am I a transfer student?

Yes! Your degree will likely meet the 12-credit minimum for applying to finish your bachelor's degree online, and because it is from another college/university, that makes you a transfer student at UW–Madison.

Then what happens after I apply?

Your application will be reviewed by the Office of Admissions, and you'll receive notice of your admission status within a couple weeks. If admitted, your college credits are then evaluated for transferability and can be found in your Student Portal.
